Reflecting on reflections

I’m still traveling, a long way away from my film chemicals and scanner. Still going digital.

I went for a walk yesterday with my Nikkor S 1.4 lens on my Nikon D5000. The D5000 was a budget model from nikon. It has a very good sensor and can produce good shots, but it has a fairly dim, small screen, and looking through the viewfinder isn’t much better. It is very tricky to use with a fast lens, focusing through live view. So probably five percent of the shots I took were successes.

We were walking along the harbour in the South Australian town of Robe, famed for its crayfish and seafood. In the middle of a long South Australian afternoon, the reflections of the fishing boats in the harbour waters were exquisite.
